stillwater campground
This campground is in our top 10 with the best mountain views in the Colorado. Normally, the lack of trees would make this place not so great, but because of the openness you can see the mountains and Lake Granby surrounding this campground. A plus is that you get a view of the Indian Peaks mountain range. After admiring the mountains, you’ll notice that the campsite pad is gravel and nearly level. The site is back in and since the road is narrow, it took some time backing in and out to park our camper the way we wanted it. The parking area is pretty short and our tow vehicle luckily fit perfectly in the space in front of our camper. We noticed that other campers with longer trailers had a tougher time parking their tow vehicle in the tight space. We had electric and water hook ups at the site and the dump station is near the entrance to the campground. The campsite also has a tent pad, picnic table, and fire pit. Can’t say the site was very clean as there were small pieces of trash around and in the site. There are flush toilets and free showers within walking distance. Campsites are adequately spaced from each other which allows each site to have access to amazing views of the lake and mountains. This campground is along the west side of Lake Granby so there is quick access to the water to go fishing, kayaking, SUP, or boating. Just north of the campground is a boat marina to launch boats. We took advantage of the great hiking offered in Indian Peak Wilderness which sits just east of the lake. The price of this campsite is $34 /night for electric and water hookups.
